The clue is in the name. Tilt & slide doors do just that, they tilt inward and slide across when opened. Usually tilt & slide mechanisms are used for patio doors. There are many various makes of tilt/slide system on the market, the most common manufacturers being Hautau, Siegenia, Roto, FUHR & GU.
When replacing broken parts for a tilt & slide system, you will need to get the correct part to ensure compatibility with the existing parts which are system-specific.
If you are trying to identify your doors, you can normally find the manufacturer’s logo somewhere on the parts around the door. This is usually on the main drive gear that the handle fits into.
