Description
The GT sash spring & wedge is a device designed to improve the sash seal on the hinged side of a window. It can be fitted to new windows or retrofitted as a security feature to ensure the hinge side of the window achieves optimum compression between sash and outer frame. Once fitted, it can help contribute to A-rated windows and minimise service calls to draughty sashes.
Oversized windows can suffer from compression issues at the centre points between any type of hinges. The oversized active compression spring strikes the acetal wedge upon closing. Whenever the window is closed, the sash spring pushes against the frame wedge to ensure a firmer seal.
