Description
Caldwell UK404 sash horn pivot bar & shackle suitable for WHS Halo uPVC profiles. The part includes an integral pivot shoe shackle.
The ‘sash horn’ is an architectural feature often found at the bottom of the upper section of sash windows from the Victorian era. Its original purpose was to add strength and to prevent the window joints, as well as to prevent the sash from getting stuck in the frame. When found on modern UPVC sash windows, the sash horn is purely decorative and serves no practical purpose other than aesthetic appeal.
