£6.40A Definition of Gasket
Gasket is a component that is applied between two surface areas, usually to provide a barrier of some kind. The most common use is for sealing. However, gaskets also provide cushioning, prevent vibration and sound reduction.
The purpose of double glazing gasket is to keep the window sash in place, when fitted into its upvc frame. This provides a weatherproof seal. Window gasket is usually made from black rubber, and sometimes in white rubber as well. Either way, it does the same job, which is to provide insulation for the window.
Identifying Rubber Door Seals & Window Glazing Gaskets
There are so many different profiles of rubber gasket around that stocking them all is pretty much impossible. If you need a special type of gasket or seal that you can’t see shown in our standard range, let us know. We regularly review which gaskets are the most popular ones and try to keep stock accordingly.
If you send us a small sample of your gasket, we can most probably find it for you!
Please ensure you have read our terms and conditions about ordering gaskets. Window gaskets are cut to length with your order and can’t be returned for refunds.
