What are the differences between door hinges?

We provide a few different types of door hinge. Here is an explanation of the differences;

Butt Hinge: Usually found on older traditional timber doors. Looks like two pieces of flat metal separated by the hinge joint.

Flag Hinge: Used on modern doors and are generally more secure than butt hinges. The shape is similar to a flag, hence its name.

Hybrid Hinge: A combination of hinge giving you the best of both hinges. This is a very secure type of door hinge.

Composite Hinge: composite door hinges are designed to be used on composite doors with no over-rebate.
